WHO IS BELINDA
NEW LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Throughout my career, I have maintained the highest performance standards within a diverse range of law, managerial and administrative functions. I have upheld the laws that the General Assembly passed and now I seek to be a part of the Legislative process.
I'm a graduate of the Latta "VIKINGS". I continued my education at the University of South Carolina and received a master's degree in social work. During my college years, I paged for Senator John Charles "Jack" Lindsay, Sr. and soon after began public service in Dillion, S.C., as clerk to County Council. Later I moved to Florence, SC with my husband and children, leaving our familiar surroundings was a significant change, but we embraced the challenge.
Moving to Florence offered an opportunity of growth and new beginnings. I was given the great opportunity to work in the Florence County Treasurer's Office where I met wonderful people from all walks of life. Each interaction reinforced my sense of purpose and commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
I was later appointed Magistrate for Florence County and served for over 18 years and as Chief Magistrate for over 8 years. As the Chief Magistrate, protecting individuals' constitutional rights was one of my many goals.
